January 17-20, 2017

January 17 - 20, 2017

We took a break from themes. The children have been enjoying some fun activities with out a theme. (We will get back to a theme shortly.) Last week was a short week because we were of for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but we still had a fun filled week!

We cut out a hear from construction paper and placed the heart on contact paper. The children were given tissue paper to place on the contact paper. Some kids did one piece at a time and others did a handful! They turned out great! They are one the window in our classroom!

We got a new friend on Wednesday! I think we did a good job of showing him how to have a good time in our room!

We put the Sweetheart candies in a jar with paint and some paper, gave the kids the jar and had them shake it up! Some friends did a great job shaking with their hands and other friends had a good time dropping it on the floor a few times.

 Shake, Shake, Shake!

Slime!

On Thursday your child had a bagging in their cubbie with some white stuff in it... You might have wonder ed what it was. It was homemade slime! We all took turns adding ingredients and mixing it together. The teachers were not brave enough to give them all the slime so we placed them in baggies so there would not be a big mess and we let them take it home!

To make the slime we took some glue, liquid starch, water and for some fun we added glitter! With its all mixed together it makes slime.

The bottle was a little hard for some friends to squeeze so a teacher had to help.

This friend had a hard time squeezing the bottle so the teacher did it for her. The look on her face says it all. She was amazed watching the glue!

Time to mix it all up!

The concentration my friends at with this is great!

Below are some pictures of our friends playing with the slime!

I would say they enjoyed it!

We wanted to give the kids a special message!

On a white piece of paper we wrote with a white crayon what our message was. We then gave our friends Bingo markers.

What does our message say?

Our friend is thinking... Hmmm...

You guessed it!! Our message says
"Jesus Loves ME!"

Sorry if your little ones came home with different colored hands! They really love the bingo markers!
